More than 30 years teaching experience in mainstream and special schools across all key stages, at teacher, head teacher and county manager levels. Headed in-county provision for children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and also managed a large cross-county, multi professional team with responsibility for providing in school support, Countywide training, education provision and reintegration packages for permanently excluded students. As part of this role, was seconded as Associate Head Teacher into one special and three secondary schools all of which were in Ofsted categories.

Currently editor of Teaching Expertise “Behaviour Matters” and in great demand, working nationally as a freelance consultant, presenter and trainer. Clients include Osiris Educational, Inclusion Quality Mark, Lighthouse TV, Optimus Publishing and Behaviour Watch. Since 2002, been directly involved in the National roll out of Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL) initiative in both primary and secondary schools providing training at national level and designing bespoke INSET for individual schools.

Over the past 5 years has worked directly with 15 local education authorities as a behaviour consultant and trainer. Presented bespoke INSET packages (behaviour/emotional literacy) to more than 80 schools (Primary, Secondary and Special) and been contracted as both keynote speaker, chairman and presenter for numerous national conferences.

More recent developments are Behaviour Masterclass series, Put an end to lunchtime troubles Loggerhead Publishing DVDs, plus books and educational posters published by Speechmark/Incentive Plus.

During a career break from the classroom, (1989) also spent 7 years working on the corporate entertainment circuit throughout UK and Europe including corporate, live, television and radio appearances.
